Ongava Game Reserve sits right on the border of Etosha National Park — and Ongava Lodge is where it all started. In this video, we take you inside one of Namibia's most iconic private reserves: from the hilltop lodge with sweeping savanna views, to a lion pride with three cubs feasting on an oryx kill, to five white rhinos gathered at the waterhole at dusk. We explore the lodge, the rooms, the food — including a stunning bush braai — and share what it's really like to go on game drives here. We also venture into Etosha National Park via Andersson's Gate for a morning in the park, spot enormous elephant bulls at Okaukuejo Waterhole, and reflect on why private reserves like Ongava simply offer a different experience. We also spent time in the hide watching kudus, warthogs, black-faced impalas, and red hartebeests come to drink — the kind of quiet, unhurried wildlife watching that's hard to find elsewhere.
