Oz: Wintry weekend for south-eastern Australia

A cold southerly is moving eastwards over the next few days and by the weekend that wintry air will stick to the south-east of the nation bringing snow on the mountains and ranges and plenty of southern showers. Thunderstorms and areas of rain and showers continue today across SA, Vic, Tas, NSW and the A.C.T but in some locations it may not be much, others may get higher totals if those thunderstorms form over you. The thundery weather will also trigger more downpours in the NT and moving more-so into Qld (and Qld still has eastern coastal showers). We track Australia's weather through to the middle of next week.
