A1 60163 Tornado Pauses At Blea Moor With The Waverley - 06/07/25

On the 6th of July 2025, The Waverley Railtour ran from York to Carlisle via Settle. Tornado hauled this service and the weather was spells of rain with a mixture of sunshine. We head to Blea Moor where not long after the Banana Train passes through, Tornado is brought to a stop for more than five minutes before setting off again once the road ahead was clear. Next, we head to the rainy market town of Settle where Tornado flies through towards Hellifield. Finally, we head to Gargrave near Skipton where the heavens truly open up, so I stand in the tunnel and feel the force as 60163 rockets past as it returns to York.
