From Ruin to Restoration - Part 1 - Manasseh

Sin can ravage a life like wildfire and reduce it to ruins. But no sinner is too broken for God's redeeming power and no failure is too great for His restoring grace. In this first part of a new series, Pastor Marc Williamson examines the life of Manasseh, the worst king in Judah's history. Key Verse: "And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God." - 2 Chronicles 33:12-13 (KJV) Despite being raised by the godly King Hezekiah and growing up under the preaching of the prophet Isaiah, Manasseh plunged into the depths of wickedness. He rebuilt pagan altars, desecrated the temple with idols, sacrificed his own children, had the prophet Isaiah sawn in half, slaughtered believers, and led the entire nation into sin worse than the heathen nations before them. Yet when God's judgment finally brought him to the end of himself in an Assyrian prison, Manasseh cried out in humble, repentant faith, and God not only forgave him but restored him to his throne. His story is proof that the devil is a liar. No one has gone too far for God's mercy to reach and no life is too broken for His power to restore.
