Arabba - Portavescovo: the best of spring skiing in the Dolomites

Absolutely! This year's ski season finale in the Dolomites was epic. With an abundance of snow, we had to pivot to our Plan B. Our original plan? Powder skiing in Marmolada. But, as fate would have it, it was closed due to avalanche risks - a rare occurrence here. Thus, we turned our sights to Arabba-Portavescovo, a stunning north-facing ski area, and savored every moment to the fullest. This might have been the most I've ever skied in this area, and it was incredible. The slopes remained perfect all the way until our ski back home at Ustaria Posta, with the highlight being some phenomenal powder skiing at the summit. Our adventure didn't stop there; we made our way to Padon for a breathtaking view of Marmolada and to pay homage to the old Padon chairlift one last time before it's replaced by a new 6-seater this summer.
