5 Veracruz fandango tutorial. La llamada (Tu papá no trabaja)
Video series with the basic steps and breaks of the Veracruz fandango. 5 The Call. It sounds like "your dad doesn't work," but I've heard teachers (who aren't from Veracruz) call it "duck face." Everyone has their own way of saying it. I'll show it to you how I learned it in Veracruz. Every male and female dancer I saw in Tlacotalpan has their own way and/or style of tapping and taking breaks. I recommend watching videos of real fandangos so you can decide how you'd most like your students to mark the steps. Excuse the lack of nuance in my steps; it's been a while since I've danced :c Dedicated to my friend, maestro Victor Meraz, who encouraged me to make this video. Please ignore the elliptical.
