Tonight we're diving into an exciting journey into the world of fluid art, specifically a "wrecked flip cup" method. We'll be creating a stunning abstract painting with swirling patterns, showcasing the beauty of acrylic pouring by manipulating pouring paint on the canvas. I love how this one turned out, and I hope you enjoyed watching! I have a very special announcement at the end of this video! We have been working very hard to get to this point and I'm so excited to finally be able to share it with you! I'm using a 24x30 inch gallery wrapped canvas from Artists Loft. I'm using a three pronged comb that I got from Amazon. Colors Liquitex Basics Q. Magenta Amsterdam Perm Blue Violet Golden Anthraquinone Blue DecoArt Americana Muse 24K Gold Feral Cloud Mix AL Soft Body White Vallejo Pearl Medium American Floetrol Pouring Medium: Golden Heavy Gel Gloss Floetrol There is NO Silicone in Any of My Paint. Observations: The DecoArt Muse is a pretty color. I like it a lot with the contrasting Blue Violet and the Magenta. The Feral Cloud Mix had added a softness to all the colors, and created a beautiful and dreamy colorscape that is beautiful. Do you see the big bird in the center? Is it a pelican or an Ostrich ?? haha! I am very happy with how this piece turned out! Now for the big announcement! I am very pleased to announce the opening of my brand new Art Studio... By The Sea Studio and Gallery in Marina Del Rey, California! We have a fantastic location on the second floor, that has a gallery area, as well as an art studio for me, and a classroom area for teaching small intimate events! Outside there is a wonderful patio area that overlooks the bay, where we can watch all the sailboats and the pelicans and seagulls and all the hilarious Sea Lions! It is such a beautiful space, and I am so happy with how things are turning out! The Husband of Awesomeness has built me a brand new gigantic table, designed with teaching private lessons and painting HUGE canvases! I am bringing all my experience from doing Fluid Art Boutique and FAE over the years to set up an ideal place for students to step into tranquility and tune into their creative energy. Come and visit the Gallery and take a class with me! We are about 85% set up, and should be ready to start seeing students about June 15th, 2026. We are in the process of building a website but its not the highest priority at the moment (we will get there soon). Several people have asked me where they can buy my art, and this is the place! This space is not set up for children, classes are for mature teens and adults. Currently there is no elevator, only stairs. Unfortunately that means that students need to walk up the stairs.
