In the second part, we'll explore how to play a basic arcing shot using a wide-open, rolling spout. By performing this exercise, you'll take the first tangible step toward understanding how the cue ball bounces off the target along an arcing trajectory. In this position, you don't need to screw the cue ball from the far lip; it's enough to roll the cue ball correctly, combining optimal speed and topspin. I also discuss common mistakes and why you shouldn't apply muscular effort on arcing shots. Practice the wide-open, rolling spout with the desired degree of emphasis on closing, and gradually your brain will begin to "draw" arcing rebound corridors and automatically execute an effective shot.
