This Summer In Antarctica
Go behind the scenes at Port Lockroy, the world’s southernmost public museum and post office with Amanda Barry, Museum Manager at Port Lockroy. Amanda has spent the 2025–26 season caring for this remarkable historic site, and her story is particularly poignant as she follows in her father’s footsteps 77 years after he was stationed at Port Lockroy. Amanda will reveal what it’s like to live and work in one of the most remote heritage sites on Earth, from maintaining the museum and welcoming visitors, to counting penguins. We’ll also be joined live from Antarctica by members of the UKAHT field team, who’ll give us a real-time update on the season and answer your questions about the weather, wildlife, and what life on the ice is really like. 🇦🇶 FIND OUT MORE 🇦🇶 https://ukaht.org/ 🐧 ADOPT A PENGUIN 🐧 https://shop.ukaht.org/collections/ad... 📣 SUBSCRIBE 📣 https://bit.ly/UKAHT-YouTube 🎯 FOLLOW US 🎯 ✩ Instagram: / ukantarcticheritagetrust ✩ Facebook: / ukantarcticheritagetrust ✩ Twitter: / antarcticht ✩ TikTok: / ukantarcticheritagetrust
