Tapered motorcycle wheel bearings are crucial components responsible for enabling smooth wheel rotation and stability in motorcycle wheel assemblies. These bearings are designed with a tapered shape, allowing them to handle both radial and axial loads effectively. BMW decided to install these bearings in their motorcycles, even though the bearing setup is more expensive than a regular radial bearings setup. Regularly greasing and ensuring the correct seating of these bearings is critical to prevent premature wear and potential safety issues.
