We Tested A Luxury Sleeper Bus In Vietnam: Here's What Happened

Could you spend 14 hours on a sleeper bus? When Da Lat's airport closed, we had to find another way to travel from Da Nang to Da Lat. We could have taken a train to Nha Trang and then hired a private car, but instead we decided to try something completely different... Vietnam's most luxurious sleeper bus. (Bus Website - https://tankimchi.vn/) This wasn't an ordinary overnight bus. With only 22 seats, no middle aisle, private window pods, lie-flat beds, Wi-Fi, charging ports, air conditioning, blankets, pillows, and even personal TVs, this VIP sleeper bus promised one of the most unique travel experiences we've ever had. In this vlog, we take you through the entire journey from booking our tickets in person at the bus station in Da Nang to boarding the luxury sleeper bus and spending nearly 14 hours traveling through Vietnam's mountains to reach Da Lat. We'll show you: 🚌 A complete tour of the VIP sleeper bus 🛏️ What the private sleeping pods are really like 📶 Wi-Fi, charging, TV, air conditioning, and onboard amenities 🚻 The bathroom situation on a sleeper bus 😴 Whether we were actually able to sleep 📏 How comfortable the pods are for travelers of different heights 💰 The total cost compared to flying or taking the train 🌄 Beautiful mountain scenery as we approached Da Lat 🤔 Our honest review after spending an entire night onboard As first-time sleeper bus travelers, we had no idea what to expect. Would it be comfortable? Would we sleep? Would Steven fit in the pod at 6'5"? Would the Wi-Fi work? And most importantly... would we do it again? Along the way we experienced winding mountain roads, a police stop, a late-night rest break, and some surprisingly good sleep. We also share practical tips about choosing your pod location, motion sickness, earplugs, blankets, and what we'd do differently next time. One thing that surprised us most was just how popular sleeper buses are in Vietnam. For many travelers and locals, they are an affordable and convenient way to travel long distances overnight while saving on a hotel night. After arriving in Da Lat, we were immediately impressed by the cooler temperatures, mountain scenery, and completely different atmosphere compared to Da Nang. This is just the beginning of our Da Lat adventure, and we'll be sharing many more videos from this beautiful city in the weeks ahead. Would you spend 14 hours on a luxury sleeper bus?
