More Cats Than People on a Cat Island in Japan — About 100 Cats🐈🐈 | Sanagi Island | 猫島 / 佐柳島

This time, we took a day trip to Sanagijima Island, a cat island in Kagawa Prefecture. It was our first visit in three years. This small island in the Seto Inland Sea is home to many cats, cared for and watched over by local residents. Walking through the Honura and Nagasaki areas, we spent a peaceful day meeting friendly cats and enjoying island time. Sanagijima is a small island with a circumference of about 6.6 km, where around 100 cats now live—more cats than people.
