(バスだけどJR路線)気仙沼線BRTに乗ってみた！

This time, I'd like to introduce a JR line operated by bus. It's called the Kesennuma Line/Ofunato Line BRT. Railway lines running along the Pacific coast of Tohoku suffered significant damage from the tsunami following the Great East Japan Earthquake. The Kesennuma Line and Ofunato Line were also severely damaged, and it has been estimated that it would cost approximately 110 billion yen to fully restore the two lines by rail. In order to definitively restore the two lines, a system called "BRT (Bus Rapid Transit)" was launched. Simply put, it refers to buses that run on a combination of BRT-only roads and public roads.
