Meet Ankur Kumar, a young and progressive farmer from Kurukshetra, Haryana, who switched from traditional wheat and rice farming to vegetable farming using stacking and drip irrigation methods. On just 1.75 acres, Ankur has sold tomatoes worth ₹22 lakhs! For the past 6 years, he has been practicing multilayer farming, growing tomatoes, bell peppers, bottle gourd, and even strawberries. He uses raised beds, mulching sheets, and drip irrigation for efficient water use and better yields. Ankur also sets up his own nursery with high-tech seeds, ensuring healthy plant growth.
