In the game, you take on the role of brave foreman Felix, whose job is to repair the windows of an apartment building that is being systematically destroyed by an enraged Ralph climbing up the building's facade. Controlling Felix, you must dodge falling bricks, swooping birds and other obstacles, while repairing the damage as quickly as possible - all at a fast pace, with increasing difficulty and scoring typical of classic arcade games. The conversion for the Commodore 64 was prepared in 2022 by the talented developer Antonio Savona, known in the C64 scene for his many high-quality ports and original productions. The game was released as a free fan project, but despite its non-commercial nature, it is polished with great attention to detail - from the animation, to the controls, to the faithful reproduction of arcade machine styling. Interestingly, the original Fix It Felix Jr. never existed as an actual 1980s title - it was created as a fictional game for a Disney film, but became so popular that it later saw actual versions on PC, arcade machines and, thanks to the retro scene, the C64 too. It is not only a fun, dynamic game, but also a unique tribute to the nostalgia and passion of the Commodore community.
