Case vs. GEC: Traditional Knife Heavyweights Face Off
Here's some discussion of my take on the comparative strengths and weaknesses of two of the most prolific purveyors of traditional folding knives, W.R. Case & Sons and Great Eastern Cutlery. Case, of course, has been in this game a very long time, and despite its ups and downs over the decades, continues to churn out the classics over a wide range of price points. GEC, on the other hand, is a new company comprised of old talent and skill. It has chosen a bit pricier niche in the the traditional knife market. In this video, I'll attempt to illustrate and illuminate the common differences between the two makers, and what you can expect for your knife collecting dollar, so that you can make accurate decisions to purchase and be satisfied with your newly acquired cutlery. Enjoy!
