He is estimated to have lived during the same era as Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwana I (1717-1792 AD), and at the same time as Mbah Nur Kalam Kauman, Pemalang. Sheikh Maulana Syamsuddin was nicknamed "Ki Jogo Segoro," or "The Guardian of the Sea," because he was a "great scholar" who was not only an expert in religious knowledge but also possessed insight and expertise in the field of "Maritime Strategy." He was also given the title "Mbah Keramat," from the Arabic word "Shohibul Karomah." However, because Javanese people generally have difficulty pronouncing it, they prefer to abbreviate it with the abbreviation "Mbah Keramat." In the cemetery area, there is a well whose water is said to contain supernatural powers that can heal various ailments. In this area, there is also a magical tree, reportedly hundreds of years old. This tree is very unique; its base is a banyan tree, beneath which is a source of water that flows into the well. Surrounding the banyan tree are other plants growing from the same root tip. And even more interesting, according to a member of our group, some time during his visit to this place, he witnessed a very strange phenomenon. This tree bore more than one type of fruit.
