At 18, does a parent still have a say in their child's phone? Many parents ask themselves this question… especially when their teen or young adult replies, “Now I’m an adult, I can do what I want.” In this video, we discuss a very real issue for families: rules surrounding phones, screen time, bedrooms, social media, and parental responsibility as our children grow up. Parenting doesn't end on their 18th birthday. But it does change. You no longer talk to a young adult the same way you talk to a 10-year-old. You have to learn to maintain authority with love, to set boundaries wisely, and to open a genuine, heartfelt dialogue. Perhaps you're wondering: “Do I still need to set limits?” “What if my child rejects my rules?” “How can I talk about phones without creating a war at home?” “Am I a good example?” We believe there is hope. God gives parents a precious responsibility: to protect, teach, guide, and disciple their families, even on very current issues like phones, pornography, social media, and screen addiction. Raising children with Jesus also means teaching them to live their faith daily, to manage their freedom, to honor their home, and to build healthy habits for their future.
