Solo overnight backpack to Allstones Lake, Alberta PLUZ June 13-14 2020

Another overnight adventure to a small lake up in the mountains above Abraham Lake in the Public Land Use Zone off the David Thompson Highway. It's a busy trail on the weekends, lots of day hikers, anglers and a few backpackers. A few spots around the lake to camp, I found a decent one away from other campers. A big storm cell was brewing, but I was prepared. Mother nature did not disappoint! Approx 8.4km, 630m elevation gain. Steep hike, rewarding views, peaceful lake and a small peak to summit weather permitting. Worth the workout!
