RP 340 : Le chemin de fer de la vallée de l’ouche

The CFVO is a tourist train running on a section of the second oldest railway line built in France. Its origins date back to 1830. Since then, the line has had several lives. Initially used for transporting ore between the Épinac mines and the Burgundy Canal, it was later operated for a time by the PLM railway company for passenger transport. The passenger building at Bligny-sur-Ouche station was inaugurated in July 1905. On the day this report was filmed, it was celebrating its 120th anniversary. Since 1978, an association has taken over the existing trackbed, laying a 60 cm gauge track and launching a tourist operation. T. Pupier
