إدارة المعرفة...هل نفهمها كما ينبغي؟ Knowledge Management, do you get it right? Prof. Allam El Nour attained his Ph.D. in Technology and Knowledge Transfer for Development from the University of Edinburgh Napier, UK. He obtained his MSc/MBA from the Royal Agricultural College University, UK and was awarded the RAC Scholarship and Prestigious Book Prize for Best MSc/MBA Dissertation. He is a Fellow and Chartered Marketer of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK. Prof. Allam is the Founding Director of the Middle Eastern Knowledge Economy Institute (MEKEI) at the University of Brighton (UK). He is also a member of the Science and Technology Policy Research Department, SPRU (a world-leading department where research and high-level policy advice are combined with postgraduate teaching in science, technology, and innovation policy and management) based at the University of Sussex. It is where he established and led the postgraduate program MSc International Management. In 2009 he was appointed by the Government of Abu Dhabi to be in charge of launching the government's major and first of its kind project in the Middle East known as "Musharaka" i.e. Knowledge Management (KM) Framework. He was fortunate enough to have a broad variety of teaching and professional experiences across the world. He extensively published on how Knowledge and Technology Transfer (TT) contribute to Sustainable Development (SD) and competitiveness in the developing countries. Prof. Allam wrote over hundred and twenty publications, including eighteen books, numerous articles on knowledge, technology transfer, management, sustainable development, marketing and policy reports on sustainability and competitiveness. He is the recipient of several international Awards and Medals for his contributions to international scientific research. He was listed in the WHO'S WHO IN THE WORLD 2009 - 2014, WHO'S WHO IN FINANCE and BUSINESS 2009 - 2010 and WHO'S WHO IN AMERICA 2012 published by Marquis Who's Who, USA. For over twenty years, Prof. Allam presented many public and keynote speeches to a wide range of audience across the world. Prof. Allam consulted extensively for the World Bank, UN, EU and for various governments, in Africa, Europe and the Middle East. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
