Cold Fear - Ubisoft's Attempt at Survival Horror
So I recently played Cold Fear and got really nostalgic for old survival horror games. I think Cold Fear probably isn't one of the best ones the genre has to offer but it's still a pretty cool game that's definitely worth playing if you're into these types of games. There's also a few things about the development that I forgot to mention in the video, since I didn't encounter these bits of information in my research until I was almost done editing. Factoid one is that the game actually had a third stage before finalization where it was actually supposed to be a Time Crisis game, but that deal fell through and it pivoted back to being its own thing. Second little factoid is that originally the main character wasn't a coast guardsmen but was instead one of the SEALs from the intro, and the game apparently had a darker and grimier visual style. Just some cool stuff I found out about while finishing up the video. Also, I started to get a really scratchy throat while doing the voice over so hopefully that's not too obvious, lol. Also I know I mispronounced "cochlear", if you confront me about it you will be banned from the discord server that I don't have.
