Roger TUDÓ Lecture Series 3 ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCES IN SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECTURE The three selected experiences that make up this Lecture Series share a common intention—very much present in a generation that includes many of today's practicing architects—for whom the changes demanded by the ecological challenge represent a transformative imperative. This generation is convinced that architecture must be based on a material reality very different from the one in which they were raised, and all of this serves as an impetus for them to find their own path and explore the architecture that contemporary society demands. These architectures, far from being a marginal venture, are an exercise in the future, since they are a response to the decarbonization demands that the sector already faces. But above all, they are also an example of the path to follow: that of recovering the productive capacity of the territory, its resources, the limitations it imposes, the construction of an architecture that is nothing other than the construction of that territory in a necessary change of productive model.
