On Friday, July 10, 2026, President Prabowo Subianto simultaneously inaugurated the Meninting Dam along with four other strategic dams (Keureuto & Rukoh – Aceh, Jlantah – Central Java, and Sidan – Bali), with a total state investment value of IDR 9.79 trillion. Meninting Dam, Gunungsari & Lingsar Districts, West Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province Damage capacity: 9.91 million m³ Dam height: 74 m Type: Random Core Soil Inundated area: 46.16 ha True benefits to the community: Irrigation services for 1,559 hectares (Penimbung, Ketapang, and Sesaot), increasing planting intensity from 2x to 3x per year Flood reduction in the district Gunungsari, Lingsar, Batu Layar & Ampenan Raw water supply of 0.15 m³/second Clean energy of 10.03 MW (0.80 MW hydroelectric power plant + 9.23 MW floating solar power plant) This dam was built from 2018 to 2025 as a concrete manifestation of support for national food security, water security, and energy security, in line with the President of the Republic of Indonesia's Asta Cita (Asta Cita).
