Cadwell Park Motorcycle Track Day, Novice Group, Monday 28th March 2022, Session 1

Last year, my friends and I got addicted to motorcycle Track Days ! We are all of average ability, nothing special...... but boy, what a thrill when going around these tracks ! Me ( Colin ), did my first one at Snetterton as it's closer than the other tracks on my road bike (Honda CBR 1000 RR, 2014). After went straight out and bought a CBR 600 RR, 2004 track bike, so did my friend Richard. Jonno bought a BMW 1000 R, Bones bought an Aprillia, George continued to use his Kawasaki road bike. Sadly, our friend Pete didn't do anymore (He will be back though as it's in his blood ! ) The thing with Track days is doing them with a good bunch of mates, not just the riding. We all wind each other up, take the mickey (to the extreme) help each other out, advice, share things we've learned. My biggest problem is gear changes as I have a knackered left foot that is full of metal and has no ability to move independently of the rest of my leg.... Even with quickshift, I struggle with foot position..... often miss gears or accidentally operate the quickshift at the wrong moment...👀. It's all good though and we are all learning more every time. Richard and I were happy with the 600's, we started getting in the intermediates and felt comfortable somewhere near the middle of intermediates. Those 1000cc bikes kept getting us on the straights and often held us up in corners, yes, we could have stayed with the 600's and tried to improve as there are lots of good 600 riders who blow away 1000cc bikes but I'm not at their level ! So bye, bye 600.......Hello 1000 😜 Just did Cadwell and absolutely loved it, went novice as new bike..... good few quicker than me but felt good and will definitely be going inters on our next Track day, where ever that will be........ If you watch any of my videos, please feel free to comment, advise, give tips, like or dislike, criticize..... Slag me off ( I can take it ! )
