Warner Bros Doesn't Understand Supergirl, or the Audience!

The marketing for Supergirl is very odd to me. I know in the day of multiple social media platforms that marketing tactics shift and change. That being said, there are some tried and true principles that always prevail. This marketing strategy, to me, doesn't seem to lean on any reliable standards. Apathy is a big theme that they're pushing and it seems like that's going to backfire. If Supergirl doesn't care, if the marketing team doesn't care, then why should the audience care. I'm very curious if any of their tactics are interesting to anyone else or if they've made anyone excited to see the movie.
