All Things New (Revelation 21:1-8)
In Revelation 21, Scripture gives us a breathtaking vision of the end of the story: a new heaven, a new earth, and the New Jerusalem coming down from God. Christian hope is not escapism, but confidence in God’s promise to renew all things. In Christ, death will be defeated, tears will be wiped away, sin’s curse will be undone, and God will dwell with his people forever. Because Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, thirsty sinners are invited even now to come to him and receive the water of life freely.
