Devotional text: “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise!” (Luke 23:43) The death of a born-again person is like moving house. They leave their physical body as if it were a house, leaving behind a ruin. Their soul, however, immediately moves into its new home in heaven. The Bible, therefore, does not teach the concept of so-called soul sleep. On the contrary, the souls of the departed are wide awake!
