Galing Pook Season 4 E10 - Valenzuela City (June 9, 2018)

When Typhoon Ondoy caused flooding in Metro Manila and nearby areas in 2009, the Valenzuela City government relocated about a thousand informal settler families to a resettlement site in Barangay Ugong called Disiplina Village. The city eventually established a second Disiplina Village in Barangay Bignay. In the Disiplina Village, families pay P300 a month as rent, and are able to access other facilities and services developed by the city within the villages.
