Day 3 - Camino Frances - Roncesvalles to Zubiri
Saturday 31st August - Roncesvalles to Zubiri. This was a beautiful but exhausting 22km day. No rain, lots of sunshine but the hot temperatures were moderated by shade on many parts of the walk. The rocky descents lived up to their reputation. The photos don’t really show the difficulty and of course it was dangerous to use a camera on the more difficult parts. There is no way I would walk this part of the path - after Espinal - if it had been or was, raining. I’m starting to encounter the same pilgrims repeatedly and this makes one really feel part of the Camino experience.
