🏝️ Turning Zone 9b into a Tropical Paradise | Stage 1 Greenhouse Tour

🌴 Welcome to Regen Tropics in Ojai Valley, California! In this video, I take you on a tour of my greenhouse and explain how it helps me grow some of the world's most challenging tropical fruit trees in USDA Zone 9b. This greenhouse serves as: ✅ A tropical nursery for newly acquired plants ✅ A recovery center for stressed tropicals ✅ A winter growing space for vegetables and leafy greens ✅ A seed-starting station for spring planting ✅ A climate buffer that helps shift growing conditions closer to Zone 10a/10b Many of my tropical plants arrive from Florida, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and other tropical regions. The greenhouse helps them acclimate to Southern California conditions before transitioning outdoors into the orchard. Featured Tropical Plants 🌴 Durian 🌴 Mangosteen 🌴 Rambutan 🌴 Pulasan 🌴 Breadfruit 🌴 Cacao (Yellow & Red Pod) 🌴 Coffee 🌴 Vanilla Orchid 🌴 Black Pepper 🌴 Cardamom 🌴 Betel Nut Palm 🌴 Kwai Muk 🌴 Mamey Apple 🌴 Bacuri 🌴 Madroño 🌴 June Plum (Ambarella) 🌴 Kava 🌴 Ylang-Ylang 🌴 Ceylon Cinnamon One of the biggest benefits of this greenhouse is the ability to establish ultra-tropical species that would otherwise struggle during cool Southern California nights. It has become an essential part of my journey to explore what is possible when growing rare tropical fruits outside their native climate. 🎥 In a future video, I'll share a complete walkthrough of my greenhouse automation systems, including: Irrigation Fertigation Temperature management Humidity control Heating Weed management Rodent prevention If you enjoy rare fruit trees, tropical gardening, and pushing the limits of what can be grown in California, make sure to subscribe and follow along. 📍 Ojai Valley, California 🌿 Regen Tropics 📸 Instagram: @regentropics #RegenTropics #GreenhouseTour #TropicalFruit #Durian #Mangosteen #Rambutan #Cacao #RareFruit #CaliforniaGardening #OjaiValley #FruitTrees #Zone9b #TropicalGardening #HomeOrchard #GreenhouseGrowing #RarePlants #Permaculture #FoodForest #ExoticFruit #GrowYourOwnFood
