Demo of automated cell or c-Fos counting with ImageJ / FIJI (2021)
You can find the text protocol that accompanies this video on my website: https://sites.google.com/view/kru-neu... For the fast version of this demo, skip to 53:15. Remember to go to Process, Binary, Watershed before Analyzing Particles! Here, I demonstrate how to use the simpler version of ImageJ / FIJI functions to do automatic particle quantification and analysis. In particular, these methods have been useful for counting number of cFos labeled neurons as well as neurons labeled with retrograde tract tracers. As usual, I have added audio to text transcript that was automatically created via zoom. It's not perfect, but it's something.
