The laws of reflection describe how light behaves when it strikes a smooth reflecting surface like a mirror. 🔹 First Law: The incident ray, reflected ray, and the normal (a line perpendicular to the surface at the point of incidence) all lie in the same plane. 🔹 Second Law: The angle of incidence (∠i) is always equal to the angle of reflection (∠r). 👉 ∠i = ∠r ✨ Simple Meaning: Light reflects back from a surface in such a way that it bounces off at the same angle at which it hits the surface. These laws are used in mirrors, periscopes, and many optical instruments.
