Noise test: regular drywall vs. soundproof drywall

How effective is soundproof drywall versus regular 5/8-inch drywall? Does wall insulation reduce noise? Are two layers of drywall better than one? Soundproofist runs some tests on a simulated piece of wall to see which solution is best when you want to stop outside noise from coming into your home. You'll see and hear the difference.
