Reset Prune: Cutting Back the Giant Mother Bush Gardenia
We finally did the thing! Our big beautiful Mother Bush gardenia has been suffering for over a year. Lots of dead branches, defoliation and looking just really stressed out. So, we did a reset prune. We took her down by at least a third (maybe a little more). Hopefully she will bounce back with vigor and lots of healthy foliage. I took this opportunity to take stem cuttings that I will attempt to root them in cups of potting mix, in my office. Fingers crossed! My apologies, but I am going to sweat all over you in this video. It's so flipping HOT in Texas right now!
