I signed on to be a nurse extern in LDRP but I went to observation, telemetry, medsurg, emergency department, and ICU! I learned so much on each individual unit and am honestly grateful for my nurse externship experience. I forgot to add that I did a nurse externship in place of a traditional clinical preceptorship. Due to the 'Ron a lot of things changed to the clinical aspect of nursing school, and when the opportunity presented itself I figured, WHY NOT?!?
