Commanded 9 J&K Rifles in Khemkaran Punjab in 1965 which created Battle of Asaluttar and got Battle Honour. Senior instructor IMA Dehradun. General staff, Mountain Division West Bengal/ Sikkim. Commanded an Infantry Bridge in J&K. Director NCC Delhi State. Commanded Mountain Division in Eastern Sector,Arunachal Pradesh Assam and Nagaland. Military Secretary to the President of India. Additional Director General Territorial Army, raised World's first Ecological Battalions. After retirement was President Dharmarth Trust and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine. President Jammu and Kashmir Ex services League, laid two Sainik housing colonies. Raised J&K Paryavaran Sanstha to take care of the ecology and environment of the Shivaliks and Himalayas.
