Sophia Underground: The Pioneers of the Occult Russian Silver Age — w/ Charlotte Cowell

I was very blessed to be joined by writer, publisher, and hermeticist Charlotte Cowell, to discuss the tremendous and monumental lives and literary contributions―of Russia's key figureheads in esoteric thought. Valentin Tomberg, in his Meditations on the Tarot, writes, “There are many hermeticists who ought to be named as guardians of the ancient tradition of the arcanum of inspiration. But what will the name of Shmakov say to you, for example? Or the name Roudnikova? These are names which, like the yellow leaves of autumn, repose in forgetfulness beneath the immense white shroud of snow which covers pre-revolutionary Russia.” Ms. Cowell, with her intense dedication, wisdom, and insight, may likewise be named “a guardian of the ancient tradition.” It was an honor to have her on.
