Clase modelo: "¿Cómo medir el valor de una Oficina o Estructura de Gestión de Proyectos?"
The PUCP School of Government and Public Policy invites you to revisit the model class of the Public Investment Management Tools course: "How to Measure the Value of a Project Management Office or Structure?" This virtual space is designed to analyze how a PMO or Project Management Structure can contribute to improving investment execution and decision-making in public entities. Implementing a PMO does not, in itself, guarantee better results. Its value depends on its ability to address the organization's real problems, improve team coordination, anticipate risks, generate useful information, and facilitate timely decisions. Therefore, it is essential to identify what results it should produce and what indicators demonstrate its contribution to institutional management. What topics were covered in the session? • The role of a Project Management Office or Structure in a public entity. • The criteria and indicators that allow for measuring its contribution in terms of deadlines, risks, coordination, and decision-making. • The necessary conditions for a PMO to generate value and not simply become a document tracking structure. The session was led by Anthony Hernán Moreno Reaño, an engineer who graduated with honors from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru and first in his class in the Master's Program in Public Management at the National University of San Marcos. He was part of the team that created the National System of Public Investment (SNIP) and the Invierte.pe program and served as an official at the Ministry of Economy and Finance for sixteen years, where he was Director of Monitoring and Evaluation of Public Investment.
