The Complete Guide to Analog Oscillators - Patches & Techniques

In this complete guide to analog oscillators video I go through everything you need to know about analog oscillators, from the basics right through to more advanced techniques used in synthesizers, modular synths, and in electronic music. We start with the classic waveforms, sine, triangle, saw and square, and how they sound. From there I get into modulation, including pulse width modulation, vibrato, pitch modulation and audio rate modulation, with plenty of examples along the way. In the second half I move into more advanced territory, covering sub oscillators, wavefolding, hard sync, dual oscillators and complex oscillator setups with cross modulation, and plenty of patches and techniques. All of this is demonstrated on a range of eurorack modules, including the Behringer 2600 VCO, Sputnik Modular Variable Waveform Generator, Winterbloom Castor & Pollux 2, Instruō Neóni and Make Noise DPO. If you’re into electronic music, sound design, or modular synthesis, this should give you a solid foundation to build from. #synth #synthesizer #analog #oscillator CONTENT 0:00 - Intro 0:36 - Oscillator Basics 6:15 - Sub Oscillators 9:27 - Dual Oscillators 13:03 - Wavefolding 15:54 - Hard Sync 19:15 - Complex Oscillator 23:00 - Outro CONTACT [email protected] PATREON   / theunperson   AFFILIATE (US):https://www.bit.ly/PCtheunperson (EU): https://www.thomann.de/gb/index.html?...
