There are not many of them and they are not all from the same country, but they now belong to the same community: The Afro-Poles. Some came during the Communist era as exchange students. Others came later, also to study, and because Poland is so cheap. Although most leave again, there are Africans who stay to make a home. While some of the Afro-Polish prefer to remain invisible in the country where the far-right has many feet on the ground, minority consciousness actually sparks militancy and a sense of pride in some. After his insights on Cyprus, Ikenna has also become more combative. He would like to learn to be more proud and stand up more for himself and his community. But this proves to be a difficult task.
