I confess, without a doubt, that a day on the Holy Mountain is more than a whole year of study. A night in a lonely cell is more valuable than a university degree. A few minutes of conversation with a hermit are like a spoonful of vitamins, more valuable than all the vanity that we accumulate living in the world. I consider Mount Athos to be the ark of Orthodoxy, where not much is said, but a lot is lived.
