A return once again to Crewe railway station on the West Coast Mainline, the heart and major interchange for services to London, Scotland, Wales, Manchester, Chester and Birmingham etc. This visit’s reason was to capture Avanti’s PRIDE livery Pendolino considering that I don’t get many chances to seeing it but also to get shots of TfW’s 67+Mk4 set after it started doing services between Manchester and Cardiff and I managed to get not only one I hoped but another which was doing a rail movement. Other than that, there was the mixture of the usual sort of intercity, commuter, freight and locomotive movements. One thing I did not expect to happen on this visit was that the overhead electric wires between Stockport and Stoke-on-Trent got damaged which it led to having some of Avanti’s Manchester services and XC services being diverted through the station which made the day more interesting.
