Bahnen in der Schweiz in 1997 (1)

This is the first part of a series of historic films about the railways in Switzerland. This part is recorded in Luzern and in Erstfeld at the Gotthard line. All film scenes were made by my friend Hennie Jansen during a trip to Switzerland in 1997. The film scenes were made with a Sony Video 8 camera which were digitalized later. Unfortunately the quality of the film scenes is not what we might expect from today’s digital cameras. But in more than 25 years a lot has changed, also at the railways in Switzerland. Many film scenes shown in this video cannot be made today anymore.
