The day after Nabami, we had a late start—waking up at 11:30 AM and rushing to the market for fresh fish! Peter’s sister’s friend had just been discharged from the hospital the night before and needed live fish protein, so we were on a mission. After securing the fish, we cooked up some delicious chicken for ourselves and had a hearty lunch. In the evening, we set off for more pandal hopping. We found one special pandal on Google Maps that was far away, but determined to visit, we hopped into a cab and made our way there. Once we’d seen it, we realized Puja was almost over, and there weren’t many pandals left to explore. Back in our locality, we searched for a place to eat dinner and ended up at a Punjabi dhaba. Peter’s sister wasn’t too happy with the steel plates they served us on, but that only led to a hilarious conversation between the three of us. It was the perfect way to end the day—good food, laughter, and great company!
