HOW TO HARVEST WORMS FROM A WORM FARMER USING A REVOLUTIONARY METHOD! MY SECRET REVEALED @chacaraauto-sustentavel6368 With this method, it's possible to collect thousands of worms! Worms are usually scattered throughout the worm farm, which tends to have quite large spaces. So, first, we need to imagine where they are most concentrated. In places where we haven't fed them in a while, there is predominantly only worm humus. Where we fed them last, the food—being fresher—still attracts few worms. Therefore, they are more located where the food is more spoiled, more rotten, in a more advanced state of decomposition. That's where my favorite spots are! But there's a lot of substrate mixed in... That's where "The Revolutionary Method for Separating Worms!" comes in. I collect this material and fill four 50-liter boxes. Next, turn each box over onto a 20 kg dog food bag, open and exposed to the sun. Leave it for at least 5 minutes, as the worms will "dive" in. Scrape only the surface (about 1 to 2 cm) with a fork. When the worms start to reappear, stop scraping and wait another 5 minutes for them to enter the substrate. Meanwhile, continue harvesting from the wormery and spreading it over other 20 kg dog food bags. I recommend doing at least four operations. Scrape at least three times — this way, you eliminate about 50% of the substrate. This removed substrate should be returned to the wormery. Don't forget to refeed the wormery from where you removed the worms: put the new food in first, and then the material left over from the scrapings (which contains food, worms, cocoons, etc.), throwing it on top to cover the new food. Cover everything with a tarp. Initially, I used silage tarps, with the white side facing up (these need to be purchased).
