Twining the Warp Threads & Wet Finishing The Double Width Blanket
In this video I demonstrate an edge finishing technique from "The Techniques of Rug Weaving" by Peter Collingwood.* Since I do not want a fringe on this piece, The Twined Edge protects both warp and weft and is a perfect fit for our double width double weave blanket. After finishing the edges I demonstrate fulling the wool in the washing machine. Finally, after drying & brushing, the blanket is installed on my bed. Thank you all for watching. Please tell all your weaving friends about my channel. *"The Techniques of Rug Weaving" by Peter Collingwood can be viewed and downloaded as a PDF for free from The University of Arizona: https://www2.cs.arizona.edu/patterns/...
