Our Brand-New Vögele Paver Hits the Road!

Welcome to Bethel, Connecticut — home of PT Barnum Square, one of the most unique and intricate centers of town we’ve ever paved. Odd shapes, tight turns, angles that don’t exist on paper, and a layout that forces you to think three steps ahead. To make things even more interesting, this was only the second or third time running our brand-new Vögele paver. Anytime you bring a new machine into a real-world job, there’s a learning curve — feel, flow, screed behavior, all of it. And on a hot day like this, everything gets amplified. We were also hosting our good friend Tyson Hatch from Iron Horse Asphalt out of Idaho. Nothing better than two crews from opposite sides of the country linking up, comparing techniques, and respecting the craft from different angles. In this video you’ll see: 🔥 Paving the heart of Bethel’s historic PT Barnum Square 🔥 Real-time adjustments with a new paver under heat 🔥 Complex layout, tight islands, tricky transitions 🔥 Iron Horse visit 🔥 A clean finish in one of Connecticut’s most recognizable town centers This is the part of paving most people never get to see — the precision, the problem-solving, the teamwork, and the pride it takes to make a job like this come together Thanks for watching — drop a comment telling us where you’re tuning in from.
