Here are some of the things you'll need to think about when choosing luggage: Size: How much stuff do you usually pack? If you're a light packer, you can get away with a smaller carry-on bag. But if you're a heavy packer, you'll need a larger checked bag. Type: There are two main types of luggage: hard shell and soft shell. Hard shell suitcases are more durable and can protect your belongings from damage, but they're also heavier and more expensive.
