Kuhn Rake Maintenance, 2026!

Next, a rake project I've wanted to do since acquiring this Kuhn GA 4101 GTH Rotary rake. This rake has operated well and slightly revolutionized our haymaking, but clearly has a history and some "tweaked" spots. So, with a little time and some momentum, I finally checked the axle play and set key. ~~~ We are a ~66-acre haying operation in Conway, MA - making all small square bales for the local food, fiber, and livestock community. Learn more about our farm at https://windrowfarmconway.com/, or connect with us on instagram @windrow.farm (I do my best to capture the season as it unfolds and I'm on the move, which sometimes means sub-par camerawork (as always, apologies for fast-panning, which tends to happen when I'm tired/rushed). A video diary of each season has been incredibly helpful for me to look back at, and I'm glad it resonates with others too - thanks for following along!)    • Hay FAQ!      • Why I *don’t* want a conditioner for my ha...      • Why I'm not worried about leaf shatter (in...      • Installing & Using a Hay Moisture Meter fo...      • Why I Start Haying So Early (FAQ)   Equipment List: Massey Ferguson 275 Tractor Massey Ferguson 165 Tractor Massey Ferguson 135 Tractor Vermeer TM610 disc mower Kuhn GF5001 THA tedder Kuhn GA4101 GTH rotary rake Massey Ferguson 124 baler (with New Holland 70 bale thrower) (New Holland 256 hay rake) (Vicon RS410T Tedder) Six kicker wagons Delmhorst FX-2000 Hay Moisture Meter Sundown Fertilizer Spreader 2012 Ford F150 Down2Earth 5x8 trailer ----- #haybales #hayseason #haybale #tractor #masseyferguson #massey #farming #farmequipment #balinghay #baler #massachusetts #vermeer #kuhn #firstcut #windrow #hay #haymaking #hayharvesting
